MOTIVATING YOUNG PEOPLE TO BE BETTER CITZENS
Raiders:
Raiders is a team of twelve that compete in five events ranging from: 5k, tire flip, 1 mile litter carry, half mile obstacle course and rope bridge. This team is for those looking to challenge their mind and body.
Orienteering:
Orienteering is a test of bearing with an unlimited number of members, each contestant is given a map and a set of points to navigate to throughout the field. This event is a good opportunity to bring trophies and medals to the program.
Rifle:
A team of ten competes to showcase their precision and accuracy in this event, in this event the contestants utilize an air rifle and Olympic shooting positions to guide themselves to success.
Color Guard:
The Color Guard is a special group of cadets that represents the Mustang Battalion by presenting the National Colors at school and community events. The Color Guard appears at community parades, special functions hosted by Lakewood Ranch High School and community organizations.
JLAB:
The JROTC Leadership Academic Bowl is two teams of four with two alternatives each that are selected by the SAI’s. This team is a test of leadership and academic excellence.
